State St.\n\nCanyon County voters: Canyon County Elections Office\, 5815 Graye Ln.\, Caldwell\n\nFor all voting information including polling locations\, registration\, sample ballots\, and absentee voting visit:\n\n   Ada County Elections\n\n   Canyon County Elections\n\n\n\nAbsentee Ballots\n\n\n\nRequest an absentee ballot by Friday\, October 24\, at 5:00 p.m.\n\nBallots must be returned by 8:00 p.m. on Election Night.\n\n\n\nAn Ada County drop box is available of outside Star City Hall on the southwest corner and is under 24-hour video surveillance.\n\n\n\nNew to Star?\n\n\n\nWelcome to Star! Many states mail out voter information before an election\, but Idaho does not send anything automatically. You must request an absentee ballot or vote in person during early voting or on Election Day.\n\n\n\nIf you need to register\, you can do it at your polling place on Election Day. Bring:\n\n\n\nA valid photo ID (Idaho driver's license\, ID card\, passport\, tribal ID\, or Idaho concealed weapons license)\n\nProof of residence (utility bill\, lease\, mortgage\, or paystub)\n\nVoters must be U.S. citizens\, 18 or older\, and Idaho residents for at least 30 days.\n\n\n\nMeet the Candidates\n\n\n\nThere are two Star City Council seats on the ballot this year. The Star Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidate Forum on Wednesday\, October 23\, at 6:00 p.m. in the Star Fire Station Community Room. This is a great opportunity to meet the candidates\, ask questions\, and hear about their priorities for Star's future.
