Idaho’s Free Fishing Day is the perfect opportunity for anglers of all ages to fish without needing a license. The Star Police Department and Ada County Sheriff's Office invite you to a special Fishing Rodeo, where kids can fish alongside local law enforcement in a fun, relaxed environment.

This event is designed to encourage positive interactions between kids and officers, teach fishing skills, and foster an appreciation for outdoor activities.

Loaner fishing poles and bait available while supplies last
Food trucks on-site for lunch purchases
Fishing-related giveaways
Community booths with interactive kids' activities
Get Involved

We are looking for companies, groups, and organizations to host booths featuring a kids' fishing-related activity (no food please). Booth space is $20 for a 14' x 14' spot—you provide an activity and small prizes or candy.
